The Gruffalo is one of my sisters favourite books. She sits on a stool in the kitchen every so often and recites the whole story by looking at the pictures because she has heard it so many times.
This is a book with rhyming words about a mouse trying not to be eaten. He makes up a creature (the Gruffalo) and says to all the animals he meets that want to eat him that the Gruffalo likes Roasted Fox or Owl Ice-Cream. But then the mouse meets the Gruffalo and the Gruffalo wants to eat him.
Find out what happens in the Gruffalo.
I rate the Gruffalo 4 stars ****

Hello Freya. I know your mum and dad and am really loving your blog. The Gruffalo is one of my favourite books of all time as well. I think you are a very good reviewer!
I saw a version of ‘the Gruffalo’ that was written in ‘Scots’. It describes the Gruffalo as having “muckle lang tusks, knuckly knees and a pizenous plook on the end of his neb”.
